Thanks for th very informative video on inks. I can find ink online, but can't find ink in any retail stores. I remember seeing ink in stores everywhere.

Love it, recently obtained a hand cut quill and needed a new ink. My ink is beautiful but it's a very wet fountain pen ink and causes me to dip about every other letter, not calligraphy script either just basic cursive and print, so I ordered the iron gall from you guys, especially since I'm learning Spencerian. I'll probably see it around my bday the 28th or early next year! Can't wait to try it!

I want to start learning calligraphy but kinda sad after knowing the inks are different. I love my fountain pen inks and have a bit too many of them so I thought learning calligraphy would help me to use them all. Will using gum arabic to thicken the ink affect the ink color and properties(shading,sheening,shimmering)?

I have recently discovered liquid gum arabic and I've made a calligraphy ink out of Lamy Dark Lilac which is a highly saut after fountain pen ink and its just as gorgeous out of a dip nib as it is with a fountain pen

Why are you holding your pen like that ?? 😳😳 I don’t think that’s the correct way to hold a pen….your handwriting is very beautiful, but you are giving out wrong ways of holding your pen !! What’s wrong with teachers of your generation?? They didn’t take the time to show people the RIGHT way to hold a pen or pencil….sheesh…🥸

I would DEFINATELY need an oblique nib holder for copperplate. As it is, I use quills and mostly write in a variant of proto-gothic ... although I have written Spencerian script with a pointed pen.
